Located at the center of the Indochinese Peninsula, the country shares its borders with Myanmar and Laos to the north. Moreover, Laos and Cambodia to the east, Malaysia to the south, and the Andaman Sea and southern Myanmar to the west. It also has maritime borders with Vietnam in the Gulf of Thailand to the southeast. Also Indonesia and India on the Andaman Sea to the southwest.
